Defence Perinatal Festival 2024

Last year the Women in Defence network held its inaugural Defence Perinatal festival which returns this year on 24th June in partnership with the Active Pregnancy Foundation.
The event aimed at all Civil Servants and service women at any stage of pregnancy, and those who have been pregnant (including any form of loss) within the past 3 years, who wish to improve their understanding of fitness through pregnancy.
The festival seeks to highlight the importance of restoring physical fitness after childbirth through staying active during pregnancy and empowering everyone to feel supported, inspired and encouraged to prioritise their physical health and wellbeing. The festival consists of perinatal-friendly exercises demonstrating how to adapt various types of workouts for pregnancy, as well as TED-style talks and information and signposting to peri-natal information.
The network looks forward to welcoming all for what promises to be another spectacular and empowering day.
