National Inclusion Week Across Defence: Impact Matters

National Inclusion Week is an annual national initiative dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to create inclusive workplaces. This year National Inclusion Week runs from the 23^rd to the 29^th of September.

This year’s themes is “Impact Matters”, highlighting the need for understanding, identifying and measuring impact and taking actions that make for genuine, sustainable change.

Colleagues across Defence are encouraged to consider how their behaviours and actions can have an impact on those we serve with across Defence, and to consider what we can do to have a different impact on others, helping to foster a culture where every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best efforts and feel included.

Throughout the week a number of events are being held across Defence in support of National Inclusion week including talks covering topics from Burnout; British Sign Language, Using Inclusive Communication and how to make an impact on your career through leadership programmes; and everyone is encouraged to get involved in support of building an inclusive workplace for all.
