Volunteering in Action: WBD and AIG Support Mudchute Park and Farm

Lawyers from Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) and AIG recently spent a day volunteering at Mudchute Park and Farm, a community-based farming charity located next to Canary Wharf.
The group completed a variety of activities for the charity, including mucking out and re-bedding areas for the farm's pigs, sheep, llamas, donkeys and chickens, and removing wildly overgrown thistles in a ewe field.
Mudchute, one of the largest city farms in Europe, is set in 32 acres of countryside on the Isle of Dogs and promotes rare breed conservation, as well as providing education and training, and preserving the natural environment.
As one of London's only approved conservation farm parks, volunteers from WBD and AIG had the opportunity to improve conditions for a variety of rare farm animal breeds, such as Oxford Down sheep and Bagot goats, and contribute to their upkeep and maintenance.
After a day of working on the farm, the team was introduced to some of Mudchute's newest recruits and enjoyed cuddles with two-week-old lambs and a five-day-old goat kid.
The day was a huge success, and it was a pleasure to volunteer alongside AIG.
