We are looking for an Accountant pn a 12 month FTC to ensure an efficient standardised process is in place to enable governance, reporting and accuracy of financial information channelled through an excellent service delivery to the wider Business Unit. Responsible for the management of costing journals, recharges, and balance sheet reconciliations. Leading and developing a team of assistant accountants.
What you'll do: - Manage the costing process for unmatched supplier invoices (IT rentals, business rates, temp workers etc.)
- Manage the inputting & review process for standard journals to general & project ledger
- Manage the intercompany recharge process
- Managing audit queries relating to costing journals, recharges and balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide key support and cover to the FSD Manager
- Evaluate and assist in the interpretation and implementation of accounting policies/changes within the teams processes
- Managing the review of primary balance sheet accounts, and reconciling key journal control accounts
- Responsible for leading and developing a team of assistant accountants
- Continuous process improvement and maintenance of process documents - focusing on harmonisation across the various operating units supported by automations
What you'll bring to the role: - Accountancy professional qualification (Part-qualified) - CIMA/ACCA
- Experience of leading and developing a team
- ERP system knowledge, Oracle Fusion preferred
- A thorough and up-to-date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices
- Detailed and analytical
- Customer focused - experience of working in a shared service environment preferred
- Demonstration of process improvement and automation
