COMMERCIAL LITIGATION LAWYER BriefWe are currently looking to recruit a NQ Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our Glasgow office.
Team BackgroundThe commercial litigation team sits within our Litigation, Regulatory & Tax department. The team has 4 partners and 12 fee earners. The team is friendly and inclusive and is looking for a candidate who will fit in with this ethos. The work covers a broad spectrum of commercial litigation/disputes, regulatory investigations and criminal defence work, offering plenty of interest and stimulation and involves disputes of all sizes. Clients are typically medium to large corporates including a range of listed companies. The team seeks to involve all members in client relationship building and business development.

Work highlights - Represented a medical device manufacturer in a series of product liability claims.
- Advising a property investment fund on its fire safety obligations and its interaction with the fire and rescue service pending remediation of issues with cladding and compartmentation.
- Advising a local authority on its current fire and building safety responsibilities as a landlord, planning authority and building control body.
Candidate Summary The successful candidate will:
- be qualified in Scotland and/or England & Wales or soon to be qualified.
- have gained experience in a large commercial practice but be willing to learn new skills.
- be a team player, able to forge strong working relationships with colleagues in an agile environment.
- be technically strong and exercise good commercial judgment.
- have the interpersonal skills necessary for this client-facing role; and
- have a \"can-do\" attitude and be willing to work with colleagues and partners collaboratively and enthusiastically.
