We are looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join our Western European Real Estate team in Goole! As Commercial Project Manager you will be responsible for supporting the UK Finance Manager in specific accounting topics across the UK, as well as CPM responsibility for financial delivery and reporting of major projects. This team promotes hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office per week!

You'll make a difference by ....

• You will be responsible for the commercial and financial handling of a portfolio of our major real estate projects - from project identification & preparation for approval, through planning & project development, to execution and handover. Your focus will be on strategically important projects with a significant own investment (CAPEX).
• During project realization, you will be responsible for all commercial project management tasks such as project controlling and contract management (co-costing, risk and opportunity management, NCC analyses, contract management) and will work closely with Purchasing (awarding of planning, consulting and construction services) as well as with our national subsidiaries.
• You will develop cost-effective solutions that are considered in the business case costing and prepare option comparisons to evaluate alternative scenarios.
• During the development phase of projects, you will work closely with neighbouring departments and support their activities with your commercial expertise, e.g., on land issues, construction cost forecasts or rental pricing models.
• Technical Real Estate specific accounting topics such as IFRS 1, vacancy provision, impairments, fixed asset accounting etc
• Business Administration support for option comparisons for commercial real estate projects
• Preparation of documentation for approvals for business, Zone and Global sign off
• Support in implementation of Real Estate guidelines and principles within responsible areas
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards

Your success will be grounded by ...

• You must have a relevant Accountancy qualification CIMA/ ACCA or equivalent.
• You have professional experience in financial and commercial project management, ideally in the real estate environment.
• You are confident in using SAP and MS-Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Sophisticated knowledge of project related accounting principles
• Advanced knowledge of commercial Project management principles and performance controlling of new construction building projects
• The ability to managing finance in a dynamic and growing business
