Please note, if based in Perth, there will be a requirement to travel to Glasgow office twice a week.A bit about the job:As a Team Manager you will be responsible for a team of up to 15 Underwriters who are based predominantly in Scotland. We are a National Team, so you will also be responsible for managing several Underwriters based across the UK. You will be responsible for the People and Operational performance delivery of your Team. Which includes embedment, continuous improvement, transformational change, process consistency, workflow management, capability, and talent succession.
The Team Manager owns the people management aspects of their team. You will be accountable for demand allocation across your team. You are responsible for the team Governance and People Planning Management which includes wellbeing, capacity planning, performance management & talent. You will engage with your aligned Scheme brokers on Service, Operational Performance and Demand analysis to ensure we deliver a great Customer experience.
Skills and experience we are looking for:- Previous p eople management experience
- Understanding of general insurance and the marketplace, preferably in commercial GI
- Excellent communication, listening, time management and negotiating skills
- Commercial business acumen
- Curiosity and open mindedness, ability to influence, manage and implement changes and improvements

- Starting salary between £50,000 and £55,000(depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
