This exciting new position within Plans and Requirements offers the successful candidate the opportunity to support Service Families Accommodation Planning at a time of significant change through the Defence Estate Optimisation Programme (DEOP) and the introduction of the New Accommodation Offer (NAO).The position works directly to SO1 Plan and Requirements and will support scope, refine and analyse data in order to inform how we can best support Service Families with accommodation.

- Prepare and Coordinate Service Families Accommodation (SFA) Stock and Occupation data reports to support DIO Accommodation Plans and Requirements (P&R) in effective SFA Estate and Stock Planning.

- Coordinate DEOP SFA requests, using Project Team Information on DEOP moves to support effective SFA forecasting across the Defence Estate.

- Track and update Top Level Budget (TLB) changes in DEOP to ensure requirements are captured and updated in P&R Registers and Workbooks to inform SFA Planning.

- Provide and Coordinate data reports as required to support the effective planning for roll out of the New Accommodation Offer (NAO) using Microsoft products and DIO Information Systems.

- Provide quality assured SFA data to underpin requests for Management Information (MI) and to meet request timelines, to meet P&R taskings.

- Support Plans and Requirements C2 Data Analyst as required

- Any other additional duties directed by Head Plans and Requirements in support of SFA future planning and the wider Plans and Requirements Team appropriate to the grade.

Person specification

Competent in use of Microsoft Office and in particular Excel.

Experience analysis and handling of data (Desirable)

Some limited travel maybe required.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.

External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.
