Director, Regulatory Oversight Management Manager

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Regulatory Oversight Management Manager (CASS) to join our Markets team. This role is located in London.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • CASS Applicability: Responsible for full and effective assessment and understanding of the CASS applicability of Markets products and services.

  • CASS Risk Management: Ensure that CASS risks are identified, assessed and mitigated through an effective control environment. Maintain appropriate controls in RCSA and CMF platforms.

  • Oversight of CASS controls: Responsible for Markets CASS control testing programme to ensure that controls that mitigate CASS risk are effective. Take and direct appropriate remediation action, where required. Support and deliver on Thematic Reviews led by the central GAS function.

  • Change Management: Responsible for ensuring that product and program/process change is assessed and compliant with the CASS and CAP rules and GAS policy.

  • Alignment with Corporate Risk Framework (RCSAs): Collaborate with Embedded Control function to ensure appropriate alignment of CMF and RCSA controls.

  • Resolution Pack: Responsible for maintenance of complete and accurate Markets resolution pack;

  • CASS Governance and escalation: Lead and ensure an effective Markets CASS Governance council through sufficient MI. Fully contribute to all BNYM CASS governance forums (including the CASS Operational Oversight Committee ("COOC")) and escalate matters promptly to the CASS Accountable and the executive as appropriate.

  • Performance Management and succession: Set appropriate client asset objectives for the dedicated Markets client asset Office and business functional staff with a significant CASS responsibility. Input to the client asset performance assessment for individuals that are not within the chain of command. Ensure effective succession plans are in place for the Markets client office and mitigate against key person dependency.

  • CMAR: Responsible for complete and accurate AUC reporting specific to in scope Markets products.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Detailed understanding of FCA CASS rules and client asset objectives.

  • Product / operational knowledge of Markets products.

  • Ability to apply a legal entity view with respect to application of the CASS rules.

  • Familiarity with corporate risk framework from an RCSA / CMF perspective.

  • Ability to review and challenge internal controls, and make recommendations for improvements.

  • Excellent leadership skills required to lead the team and drive through improvements in the CASS control framework.
