We are a leading provider of Information Security Compliance & Operations services, dedicated to upholding the highest security standards across various sectors including Government, Police, Defence and CITB businesses. As an Information Security Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation aligns with legal, regulatory, and contractual information security requirements.
Working with the Information Security Compliance Senior Manager, you'll support in planning, designing, and implementing tools and systems to protect critical devices. Your responsibilities will include collecting data on security incidents, analysing outcomes, and devising metrics to supervise the effectiveness of our security measures.

What you will be doing:

• Evaluating and handling Defender/O365 alerts & incidents.
• Analysing and administering end user & privileged accounts.
• Conducting Data Loss Prevention analysis & reporting.
• Resolving escalated IT incidents and operational concerns.
• Handling vulnerability in our core environment and supporting wider remediation efforts such as penetration testing.
• Assessing and managing SOC notifications & incidents.
• Implementing breached password controls and user management protocols.
• Gathering, logging, and distributing threat intelligence.
• Contributing to the development of tooling and process improvement initiatives.
• Administering phishing tests and attack simulations.

What you will bring:

• Knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Experience with security tools such as Defender/O365, SOC platforms, and vulnerability management tools is a plus.
• Strong understanding of SOC assessments and management

It would be great if you had:

• MS Defender or MS Sentinel
• Bitlocker
• Tenable Nessus

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent
Location: Flexible based on your current location. Hybrid role, only requiring 1 office visit every 1-3 months
Security Clearance Level: Must hold or be willing to undergo SC and NPPV2

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
