IT is an integral part of the Siemens business and its strategy as a technology company. Together with the business, IT drive the internal digitalization and the development of digital products at the core of the business, driving business outcomes, leading IT/OT convergence and acting as one global team.

A rare opportunity has become available to join our award-winning IT team in the UK as an IT Business Partner

The team are based in Poole and Manchester, so the role can be based from either site. We are guided by Siemens' forward-thinking hybrid working policy and the team spend 2-3 days a week in the office. We support many sites in the UK so occasional travel domestically and internationally is required.

In this role you will constantly be learning, about our varied business processes, cutting edge technology and even about yourself! You will be expected to identify areas of digital opportunity and then deliver IT solutions to realise them.

No day is the same in this job... we must be responsive to our customers but also engage with our global IT network to deliver against our targets. You will sometimes be working solo, sometimes in a local team and always in a diverse global team in IT. There are nearly fifty IT employees in our UK community and while we mostly work remotely, we regularly come together in person to keep our community active and ensure we are connected.

You'll make a difference by:

•Partner: listen to your business and develop trustful relationships to understand how they work and what they need from IT to anticipate to their needs

•Innovate: be curious! Deploy innovative technology from our global IT value centres into our UK businesses

•Guide: guide IT strategy and global topics into the business and provide a UK voice in shaping the direction of IT back to our headquarters

•Manage: manage global IT projects and initiatives on behalf of our businesses to ensure they succeed, and manage escalations and major incidents that arise within the business

•Delight: measure our customer satisfaction to identify where we can improve and celebrate what we are doing well

•Invest: continuously expand your knowledge and expertise by staying up-to-date with the latest internal solutions and advancements in technology industry-wide

You'll win us over by:

•Enthusiasm: You need to be passionate about digitalisation and bringing efficiency and innovation to the Siemens business

•IT knowledge: You need to understand a broad range of IT (infrastructure, applications, security, architecture). We have a global network of subject matter experts, so you don't need to be a specialist, but more a generalist

•People skills: You need be a good listener and a clear communicator at varying levels of the Siemens organisation (including senior management). You will have to build trust. You will need to deal with suppliers of IT services and motivate them to deliver

•Comfortable with numbers: You need to be able to present and articulate IT budgets and identify areas of influence

•Collaborator: We need a team player! You need to be someone who easily networks and supports those around them when needed

Experience in the following would help you hit the ground running:

•Experience in a similar role as an IT Business Partner / Account Manager

•Experience in an IT environment

•Experience managing customer accounts and delivering projects
