The Global Accounts Receivables team is part of the Enterprise Platforms Centre of Excellence (COE). The team plays a key role in the development of New Card Products, Benefit Programs, Lending and Commerce initiatives that help grow revenue, deepen customer engagement, and increase card member value. The team drives the development of products and software that deliver on business growth while increasing speed to market, enhancing customer experience, and building out our global next generation cloud based microservices platform for Accounts Receivable.

We are looking for a talented and driven Digital Product Manager to help lead the transformation of Account Receivable capabilities for the Core Card Platforms, helping us build our next generation technology assets.

In this role, you will act as the Accounts Receivable subject matter expert for the European Consumer and SBS (Small Business Solutions) markets. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering to migrate markets and products to our new Accounts Receivable platform. You will also be key to ensure the platform remains globally consistent and stays on track to fulfil the MARS vision.

Knowing AMEX AR (Globestar, CARE etc) is essential to this role and so too is knowing the stakeholders and AMEX operations. You will collaborate with business leaders and partners to shape and translate a software product vision and you will lead designers and engineers to deliver user experiences, operational processes and supporting technology assets.

How will you make an impact in this role?
  • Share your Accounts Receivable knowledge and help lead the roll out of MARS in our European Markets.
  • Be able to question the "why" of existing business processes to ensure correct alignment of functions with the correct domains.
  • Prioritize development of the software product in alignment with business objectives and customer value using a data driven approach.
  • Ensure owned Software Product/Capability Areas and platforms are well controlled and have a defined roadmap to improve time to market, reduce operational risk, and create business value.
  • Translate software product roadmap into minimum viable product iterations.
  • Identify risks, challenges, opportunities and business integration needs, proactively working with the team and leadership to overcome obstacles.
  • Partner with international stakeholders to drive capability globalization and market adoption of platform capabilities as appropriate.
  • Create well-defined features / user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Understand and apply new trends and competitive best practices into requirements/user stories.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to develop, test and deliver the defined capabilities and rapidly iterate new solutions.
  • Perform Demos and Launch Announcements with key stakeholders to demonstrate success and metrics of improvement.
  • Champion, support and implement agile principles.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • University Degree required or comparable experience in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit, Lending, Payment Products or Accounting platforms.
  • Significant experience in Software Product Management, Business Analysis or Product Ownership.
  • A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen.
  • Problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Quick learner and driven to learn new functionality.
  • Ability to decompose abstract information into meaningful and detailed business features.
  • Ability to separate technology requirements and constraints from core business value.
  • Enthusiasm and passion for great products and services and an ability to articulate product vision and functionality.
  • Team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within organization.
  • Strong written & verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage scope against team capacity and priorities and complete tasks.
